The life of Tom is boring and monotonous. His best friend Dan is clinging to the past and is basically still the same guy as before. Dan doen not want to lose Tom and decides to watch a very very horrible movie together with him. What they see is a snuff film. This secret binds the two friends together like never before, it does have effect on their life though as they are sucked more and more into this world.

Gut is to some extent fairly predictable, but you know that in advance with a movie like this. What Gut does not do is give us answers. The film raises many questions that are never answered. Add this with the tension, the story and the images that are shown and you know that have a worthy BUT movie.
